CONGRATULATIONS TO OC MONTESSORI ON THEIR FIRST SOLAR SUPERHERO DONATION CHECK

With summer here, energy bills are going to spike tremendously.  One exception will be the Castro Family Home in Orange County, CA who participated in the Solar Superhero Program by Funds4Solar.

With their growing family and new, larger home, the Castro’s were concerned about their electricity costs during the coming summer.

With all the news reports about dangerous rising temperatures, they also knew they would be running their air conditioner more to keep their young children comfortable.  They needed a solution.

At the same time, Montessori on the Lake School was looking for a way to raise money for much-needed classroom upgrades.  That is when they learned about Funds4Solar, a way to offer their families free rooftop solar installation, lower electric bills, and receives a donation for each installation.

The Solar Superhero Program offers free rooftop solar installation to qualified homeowners and helps to reduce their electric bills by 30% to 50%.  For each installation, the school receives $500.

The process is simple.  Homeowners apply at the Funds4Solar website.  Within a day, one of Funds4Solar representatives will contact the homeowner, ask a few questions, and help them get approved for free solar installation and lower bills.

This is not a lease program, HERO program, or purchase model.  This is a PPA model (Power Purchase Agreement).  Funds4Solar and their installation partner will install the system at zero cost.  The homeowner simply has to purchase their power from the installation company, Sunrun Vivint.

If the homeowner wants to own the system, they can buy the system after 5 years and pay the Fair Market Value, which will be approximately 40% less than today’s cost.  It is the smartest way to get solar installed.

What also makes the Solar Superhero Program unique is that they offer a VIP concierge approach to help homeowners cut through the red tape that is required to leave the grid and go to rooftop solar. They also donate $500 per installation to a non-profit.

The Montessori fundraiser currently has several families in line to get the free solar installation offer and lower electric bills.  The funds are earmarked for classroom technology to include digital whiteboards, Chromebooks, and mobile charging carts.  The students will benefit tremendously from the success of this fundraiser.

The exciting news is that the Castro’s already received installation, locked in a lower electric rate, did not pay a dime for the equipment or installation, and the school has their first of many donation checks.

Now it’s your turn to get set up before the summer peak.
